I hope everyone has been having a good weekend! I had a wonderful T-day minus the severe allergic reaction to my friend's cat (meds + air purifier didn't help much, alas) - regardless, the company and the food was grand

It was a pretty awesome Thanksgiving other than the allergies thing. The food was so good - my friend doesn't cook much but when he DOES, watch out! SOO GOOD! And I had so much fun with all the guests at the dinner...

I hope it doesn't take you long to get over an allergic reaction - and I'm sad you're deprived of the joys of cats because of it! But it's a good thing that you didn't let it spoil your Thanksgiving fun :)

This was a particularly bad allergic reactions, so it took a while for the asthma effects to wear off (usually it's hay fever); I was really surprised because it hasn't happened to such an extreme in really a long time! Believe me, I'm sad, too, because I love cats, but sadly, they make me unbelievably ill when in close proximity. :(

Eek, so glad you had a good day despite the allergies. I try to avoid going to houses where there's a cat - even when they say they've cleaned up and vacuumed it's never enough! *achoo*

The problem is mostly when people have carpets or a lot of rugs that trap the dander. In homes with tiles or wood floors, I rarely suffer like that. It's a pity because I do like cats quite a bit.

T-day was wonderful regardless of the allergies - you know, when you have great friends and great food, one can put up with many less happy things. :) I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, too! *hugs tight*
