Sometimes it's neat to open an old book and find lines that you've marked, and then wonder what mood, what emotion, what vision caused you to mark those lines out for future remembrance.

sometimes it's lines like that in a fic, or book, or song, or article that just makes it for me (if that sentence actually makes any sense)

It does make sense! :) I like the sense of rediscovery the comes with stumbling over those old lines, of falling in love with something beautiful all over again, or mulling over what meaning the words might have held in the past...and you're right, they can sometimes be the most significant ones of all. ♥

Those images are stunning, and I love the McCarthy quote. (also good to hear I'm not the only one who underlines in her books, and finds great joy in rereading those quotes at a later date. ;) )
