I've started off liking Donna almost immediately in this series-she's quite a well known comedian here and the skit she did with David Tennant for children in need proved to me they could work wonderfully together.
I'm so thrilled that she doesn't let him walk all over her, and most importantly that she doesn't fancy him-she's a friend, which is something he desperately needs.
I am excited to see Roses return. I wonder how they're going to play that out.
See, I knew about Catherine's rep before she did the Christmas special, and I was curious to see how she would do in the DWverse, but I don't know, she just rubbed me the wrong way in Runaway Bride - too loud, too annoying. But now that we've been shown some of her non-crisis personality and how the Doctor has affected her, it's made a huge difference for me, and I liked her immediately in 4.1

I absolutely agree with you - like he said: he needs a mate, someone who'll have his back but won't expect him to make googly eyes at her someday. :D
