I'm so glad you got to see Torchwood, I hope that means you computer is all better. Is it not just hitting all the notes? For all the unevenness of season one I think they've finally found their voice for the show.
So glad you found the Hot Fuzz love, I saw it in the theater and the experience was quite amusing in terms of the subject of the movie. Throughout the movie there was a guy in the back that was laughing extraordinarily loud and talking back to the movie. Half way through the movie this guy in front started yelling back at him. We were, of course, in the middle rows of the theater. As the credits started we were all scooted down in our seats waiting for the fight to start but there was no such luck.
Bara no nai Hanaya ...this one might end up my favorite of the remaining non-Kame dramas on my current season list. I have been wondering whether I should try watching this drama or not, but it sounds interesting so I think I might

I just watched the two eps that are out of Honey and Clover, and I have to say that I like it so much more than the anime. What works for it in the anime are the fact that Hagu is such a weird character -- overly cute, innocent, just incredibly bizarre, coupled with Morita's total mysteriousness and crazy hijinks, and I think they've toned everything down a lot in the drama, but also sped it up a lot. Which...did two things. It seems somewhat overdone and formulaic, but it also gives more focus to Toma's character, I think. What got lost in the anime (I felt) was that Yuta got outshone by both Hagu and Morita, and I got bored by all the exposition, but I really like how they translated him into the drama. XD Just my two cents! ♥

And yes, my laptop is on the mend, I think, thank goodness. *crosses fingers that she stays that way*
