I haven't seen Sunshine yet because something about Cillian Murphy's eyes always freaks me out and I end up (not matter how improbable) insisting that he must be the villain of the piece.

I thought Transformers was a better film than any film about robot cars had a right to be - or, at least, the people got quite good lines. And I loved the minor characters (especially the heroes family) a lot. But the robot cars definitely got some horrific clunkers. I guess that cars are not very good with speech....

Ha, there is something odd-striking about Murphy's eyes - he has what I used to call "white eyes" when I was a child. Combined with his unusual features generate a striking "look" but I can completely see why you might find it disturbing.

Ha, ha! Yes! I was particularly happy with the way they wrote the girl and how she was acted. I also loved the not-so-subtle digs at our current president and the fact that Voight's cabinet member was running the show. When was the last time we saw that happen in an action film?

*laughs* You make an excellent point. :D

About the gravity in the bomb in Sunshine:

The bomb was incredibly massive, and it probably had enough mass to generate its own gravity.

Thank you! That does make more sense to me. I didn't think about the bomb's mass - and it would have to be significant in order to do what it was supposed to do.

though perhaps we should be glad we didn't have a boisterous, pasta-loving Ferrari, or something...)

But why?! :P I would have been tickled to death to see a Vespa...

It really was a fun movie - I'm glad I saw it.

Oh definitely check out Transformers - if you go into it with a light heart, I think you will definitely be entertained. And that CGI is pretty eye-popping!

Too bad I didn't know you when you were in DC! :D

Toma is really just so much more awesome than you'd expect him to be.

He really, really is. I love him to pieces as Nakamatsu, and I really want to watch him in his summer 2006 drama (Akihabara@DEEP, right?).

I started downloading Akihabara@DEEP last night. :) It's something I can watch in my non-existent free time while I'm waiting for current dramas to get subbed! :) Not that I don't have several older ones to catch up on. It seems I've developed dangermousie's dorama watching habits! :D

I've only seen the first episode of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e and Hotaru no Hikari. Ayase is so adorable! I think what I like about her is that she appears to be very "pure". Genuine, sincere and innocent - both in personality and in her acting.

I've also watched the first episode of First Kiss, which was really funny xD The lighting is also entrancingly colorful ♥

UGH. I'm so behind too >___<

I completely agree - she really does seem this way, and I find it delightful. :) I'm glad you enjoy her, too!
