Ooh! very nifty!

So I'm mirroring some of my LJ posts over to my alternate journal

yeah, I've done that with one post as well. And found out that the GJ code is identical to the Lj code - so no extra formatting! Huzzah!
No I must try to figure out this link in the sidebar thingie.

I edited in the link for where you can add links to your sidebar links list: it's on the "Basic" tab of your Customize your Journal page.

Yes - I love that the code at GJ is the same as on LJ - the only difference is the that things like the "lj-user" tag creates links to GJ users, not LJ users, but that's ok. I've already explained in my sticky post that I'm mirroring from LJ.

There's really nothing difficult about this. Once a GJ has been set up, it's really just one click to read Koala's posts, and it's like reading the news or anything else. And it certainly doesn't mean leaving LJ for GJ. And I know you know all this, so ignore my ranting... ;)

Thou art wonderful! You see I was clicking around madly trying to find how to make a link - and then you thankfully pointed me in the right direction.
Me and advanced computing? Does not compute....(okay, that was probably my worst joke ever - but the point is hopefully made. ;D)

I'm very glad I could help! :) And really - feel free to ask me such things any time. I figured most of this stuff out on my own, and I would have loved it if I'd had help. LJ is not always very intuitive, I've found...

Thank you for doing this! As you know, I will follow and read Koala wherever she goes, and I thank you for making it easier for all of us to do that. Excellent!

*glee* I'm so glad if it helps! For me, there's no question about it - I, too, would follow Koala anywhere. :)

I'm really glad that people find this useful - I didn't want to be obnoxious, but it made me a little sad that some people didn't realize how easy it was to keep up with Koala's change of venue (although I know you certainly did). And I'm also glad that some people are considering mirroring their posts there. :)
