Totally random: I was looking at some new pics of Tegoshi and I noticed he's wearing the same red '75' sweater with the stripes on the sleeves that Kame wears in his
2006.10.22 Oshare-ism appearance. It's a rather distinctive sweater - has anyone else worn it?

I agree with the fact that YamaPi's character is fourth in importance. But when Ootomo/Tadashi is focused on, YamaPi does a great job. That breakdown scene he has in episode six I thought was great after all the "airs" he's been putting on up 'til then.
Oh and the tadaima scene made me tear. A little. *grin*

You naughty tease, you! :D
And I definitely agree with you on your points: Both Tokiwa and Kubozawa are turning in stellar performances. I believe in them so much, and I relish every moment of screentime. And also, when the writers give Yamapi that stage, he shines. Tadashi had been so matter-of-fact about everything, so blank about everything, that it was wonderful to see that he really did care about someone and was able to express emotion and also that he found hope out of all the wrongness around them. It was spectacular to see him, of all characters, discover hope, and make a choice to live and survive, and to help Asami survive ( ... )

Seriously, I hope you like it. It's surprising in many ways - really down-to-earth, very thoughtful and philosophical and extremely human. I'm so, so glad someone made a jdorama like this.

I really think that I will. It looks exactly like, as you said, what I've been craving in J-Drama. I would have tried it sooner had I known what it was about. I think the name of it is misleading. It sounds super cheesy. I'm glad that it apparently isn't. ^_^
