I watched it! I watched the first episode and it looks so intriguing. It comes off as a very adult drama, about a banking family and quite serious. I'm fascinated so far by the relationships and the undercurrents between the characters. I know, right? He has a gift for drawing the audiences, that's for sure, even with something non-romance (at least thus far) like this is. I love it. I'm so fascinated by the relationship between father and son and the apparent jealousy the father has of his son. Of course, I can't wait for the subs so I know what the heck is going on. :)

I love Kimura in that brick red suit. It's always been his color and for him to wear an entire suit of it is just gorgeous. :D

Jdramas with that high of ratings are a dying breed. Yet, Kimura manages to pull that kind of viewership even in today's TV market. :D

While he is not my favorite SMAP member (that goes to Nakai) there is an undeniable charisma about Kimura. He just pulls you in to whatever he's doing; acting, singing...everything. There's such a draw with him. I've seen every subbed drama of his. XD

The raw file wasn't as incomprehensible as Byakkotai and apparently is IS being softsubbed, so I can be patient. To me, it looks very interesting, and it is possible to see the dynamics between the characters even without understanding the dialogue.

In any case, I'm pleased with what I've seen so far, AND with the ratings! There is a reason that Kimura is first in my Japanese affections. :)
