Just to make a short note, I am totally with you on the Hiroto!is!nearly!equivalent!to!Yuuya bandwagon. :D It goes back to what I said last week in that I think I might want a Hiroto now too, along with a Yuuya. *giggle* Hiroto is just so strong of will and so damn noble, you wonder if he actually belongs in 2006 at times. :D What an AWESOME guy. ^_^

YES, YES, YES. Hiroto is such a good guy it's sometimes hard to believe he could possibly be real.

Ishida Yuya is completely different from Kanzaki Hiroto in a million different ways, but they are both so earnest, well-intentioned, hard-working, compassionate and loveable - even if they did not look like Kamenashi Kazuya, that's my recipe for an ideal guy. What is not to love?

I hope everything in your personal life is going well!!
thank you so much for the indepth comments
I love reading your comments. and yes I stuck throughout your review its great, considering the fact I don't have time to watch the drama itself.
I always thought that Hiroto will somehow surprise you at the following eps. just like Shuji. but however for the remaining two eps hopefully, there will be GOOD things happening to poor hiroto.

Thank you, yes things are going well lately, since my bf is with me for a few weeks. :D Life is good.

Thank you so much for your kind words on the review! I'm really glad you like them. I just PRAY that there will be some more happiness for Hiroto because I honestly don't think I can see the last two episodes degenerate into pain, pain, and more pain and ONLY pain for Hiroto when the poor guy has suffered so much already.

Yes, yes, Kame looks very tired. It sort of reminds me of how Jin looked before he left. There's something with Kame's eyes. Before he didn't look like that...

Anyway, this episode is pretty heartwrenching. I had a hard time going back to translating Junno's 50 secrets after watching:) I really liked Kame's acting in that scene where he is looking for his flashlight after seeing Nao's flash bon bon ball.

Btw, you might be interested to know that I am slowly constructing another lj to post KATTUN translations. I am trying to put some picture links to the notes part, so it is taking me more time than I expected to post the entire 50 secrets series. I'm done with the entire 6, although I only posted 4 on QT...since I wanted to spend time on this new lj. I plan to inaugurate the new lj soon as I finish uploading all 6 onto it. Oh yeah, unconsciously, I picked the same lj style as yours. I just didn't realize it until I visited your lj:) Of course, mine is in some shade of pink:)

oh, i forgot to log-in, this is aiharu.

Hello, dear!

Yes, yes, Kame looks very tired. It sort of reminds me of how Jin looked before he left. There's something with Kame's eyes. Before he didn't look like that...Exactly...the look in Kame's face and eyes was really hard to watch this weekend because it looked so dramatically different. He didn't look that great in this weekend's Utawara clip where he introduced the pre-recorded performance, either, but he looked worse in the episode. I'm worried ( ... )

"He didn't look that great in this weekend's Utawara clip where he introduced the pre-recorded performance, either, but he looked worse in the episode. I'm worried."

I'm worried too. Especially given the precedent...Oh, I do hope that Bokura no machi de sells! Although all that angst is really good for the drama...

Thanks for the offer, but I already finished about 75% of it. So there's just a little bit more of editing needed. Nothing really fancy about the new LJ ( i'm technically not capable of that:)--just a standard f-locked one. I try to focus more on improving the translation and the translation notes. Btw, doing Junno's and Koki's were pleasantly surprising. I didn't expect them to sound that interesting. Junno's discourse is particularly challenging from a translation point-of-view, because of his choice of words and occassional puns.

It's not problem if you don't want to go the LJ community route, but the good thing about it is that you do not need to logout of your existing LJ in order to use the comm - you can be logged in to both at the same time which is a little more convenient. If I had known about that feature, I would have set up my fic LJ as a comm instead of an individual journal, because it makes life SO much easier when switching between them.

I look forward to the new LJ when it's done! And yes, I also hope that the new KAT-TUN single sells and sells well.

I wish I had stuck with "Sapuri" long enough--I really loved Yuya, really I did, but Minami bothered me for some reason that I can't quite pinpoint.

Oh, you REALLY should give Sapuri another try! The first half has a bit of trouble gathering steam, but around episode six/seven, it takes off and doesn't stop 'til the end. :D I loved it, but I tend to love the older woman/younger man office romance dramas. *giggle* A lot of people didn't like Minami either because they felt that Itou Misaki wasn't really giving much of a performance, but I am one of the few people who loved Minami and though Itou's performance was fairly spot on. It can be hard being a single, career-woman in Japan; sometimes, you have to build up your defenses.

*will stop defending Minami now* ^_-

I think that this whole story seems to be told more from his perspective than hers, and I don't mind that at all.

It's strange because I think something similar happened with Sapuri (although nihongofrancais may disagree with me on this...): I think that Kame's Yuya, while perhaps not intended to steal the spotlight in the beginning, really took over after a while. I'm totally biased when it comes to Sapuri, though: for me, the entire drama was All.About.Yuya. I'm still writing Yuya fic for this reason - I fell in love with Ishida Yuya so effing hard that he's still in my brain...even though Nobuta wo Produce is overall a better drama in every way, for example, I was more drawn to Yuya, perhaps because elements of his personality remind me of myself (while I know that nihongofrancais has always related to Minami on some cultural levels, and she's rightly pointed out in the past that Minami's high level working woman is just as marginalized a character as Yuya's freeter - they both belong to the outskirts of successful society, and the drama is actually deeper ( ... )

Once again, a wonderful insight of the episodes, and you enlightened me on some of the emotions expressed in the scenes. =) thank you. <3

My heart goes all out to Hiroto. He's caught in a situation so complicated and hopeless that it seems impossible to get out of. His family, his burdens, the struggling family business, Nao and Nao's family. DDD: When he hugged Nao as he bidded her goodbye that morning, I teared a little when I saw his expression. And I teared again when he dropped his HN ring into the water...

And those friends! Kou is the true friend. And wtf is Ayuta doing?! RAWRRR

As for Nao, I applause her for her courage towards love. Through the episodes, she's the one who was very decisive about love. She didn't waver in her decision despite all the obstacles. I guessed, I would've done the same thing if I was in the situation like her...

Ne, i think TattaKoi will end on 23rd Dec, the Christmas weekend, right?

Tatta Hitotsu no Koi actually only has a ten episode order, so it will end on December 16th.

I agree so much, as you know. It just seems like no matter what he does, it's never going to be enough, it's never going to improve his situation and that is the most heartbreaking thing about his story. Nao came into his life and brought hope and joy and now even she has been ripped away from him. It's so unfair...realistic, but unfair.

As for Nao, I applause her for her courage towards love. Through the episodes, she's the one who was very decisive about love. She didn't waver in her decision despite all the obstacles.

I love this quality in drama protagonists - the ones that are unwavering and steadfast in their faith and convictions. Things are very difficult, but the OTP is always so much more attractive when they try to stay together despite everything.
