Again, there are screencaps this week without commentary; I hope to post both last week's review and this week's review as soon as the subs come out (hopefully tomorrow).
SERIOUSLY? 3 years later in the next episode? Oh, god, I hope not. I have been preparing myself for tragedy and angst all along, but I still can't help wishing and hoping that Hiroto will have some happiness in the end.
*nods* i think for episode 9, there'll be some angst and sadness for the earlier part.. and then the later part of it will be after 3 years (>.<). I've heard about the plot development but it isn't confirmed soo... we shall see how ep 9 goes.
great screencaps!! it makes me want to skip univ and watch cute Kame instead LOL I was wondering what program do you use to do such beautiful screencaps?
Where will this go ;_; This episode made me cry even without subtitles. I'm really statrting ti dislike the parents. Especially Nao's father. Did he try to force Nao to marry that guy from his workplace?! *shakes fist*
On the other hand the scene on the boat was adorable and made me laugh when Hiroto fell. And Ko and Yuko are very cute together.
I'm pretty unhappy with Nao's father who, although I understand why he's reacting so harshly, STILL I wish he would judge Hiroto on his personal merits.
And I agree completely with the rest of your comments! :)
Aaaw! I love your Tatta Hitotsu no Koi picspacs, it seems really interesting... and now that I'm finishing watching sapuri (and Nobuta wo produce is almost downloaded), I'm considering giving this one a try too. What is it about?
Thanks, honey. :) Glad you like. This dorama is about 2 star-crossed lovers (Hiroto is a working-class guy from a tough background and Nao is the privileged daughter of a wealthy family) who meet, fall in love, and have to cope with all kinds of obstacles to their relationship. To add to the angst, Hiroto has a little brother who has some kind of dangerous asthma, and Nao is in remission from leukemia. I think from the first episode, we've all been expecting this one to end in tragedy...
It's an old-fashioned romance, beautifully acted, gorgeously filmed in Yokohama, and very touching.

I guess that when I get around to watch it I'll have to keep giant box of tissues at hand just in case! I cry very easily *hee*. I'm totally looking forward to watch more Kame doramas, he is not only cute, but he is a really good actor!

Yes! I'm so glad you wrote this, because it is what I keep trying to say about Kame. Like Kimura, yes, he's an idol, yes, he's pretty, yes, he's in a boyband, BUT he's also a real talent, and his acting is one of the best of his age group, if not the best, along with Yamashita Tomohisa (that I have seen so far). Kame is truly a chameleon when it comes to his major drama roles and each one from Ryu (Gokusen 2) to Shuji (Nobuta wo Produce) to Yuya (Sapuri) to Hiroto (Tatta Hitotsu no Koi) have been so different and individual from one another, well-conceived and well-portrayed and eminently believable.
