Kurosagi - Episode 1 overview and picspam

It's time to get the ball rolling on this dorama review.

I watched the first six episodes of Kurosagi while flying to London three weeks ago and I finished it over the next few days while Nicola and I were staying in Gaggio, a small village in the foothills of the Apennine mountains in Italy. I even got Nicola to watch the last few episodes with ( Read more... )

Do you mean the opening shot with Yamapi where he's wearing the red suspenders? I thought they were a bit odd, although I'm not saying no to the Pi semi-nude goodness. It reminded me of the opening shot of Good Luck! in which we close in on shirtless Takuya Kimura lying on a beach. Directors know the way to fangirls' hearts: hook them with a blatant show of their star's skin.

I also really enjoyed Anego, although I wish they'd written a stronger role for Jin. But he was thoroughly adorable in that huggable kicked puppy way. He had the cutest expressions! I really do have so much love for the drama, and for him in it, even if it wasn't the best thing ever.

I'm getting a little better every day, thanks for asking. :) I had originally planned to do the whole series in one shot, but the Benadryl killed me last night so that I was literally drooping over the keyboard and I had no idea what I was writing anymore. ;) You're all lucky what I wrote up there was even slightly comprehensible!

Yamapi was so amazing in this role. I was completely floored by how good his performance was and I adore Kurosaki/Tsurara. I really love her as a character and what she does to him. I'm praying for a second series.

Don't worry, there will be at least one more Kurosagi post, with more picspam. I have all these notes written in my paper journal from the trip to Italy that I have to transcribe into LJ still.

I'm going to keep my comments to a minimum here (because I have much to say about the ENDING of this drama *grin*), but I really liked the way Kurosagi started. It wasn't an amazing start, but it was very strong; my favorite episodes are two and five.

This was really the drama where Yamashita proved his dramatic acting chops after proving himself comedically in Nobuta o Produce; though I still found it fun to see lots of shades of Akira in Kurosaki, which in turn, I think was just a reflection of YamaPi himself.

And yes, Tsurara is a most excellent foil. Perfect. :) Horikita Maki gives a very pretty performance. ^_^

I agree - I laughed myself silly when in the early moments of the episode, we see Kurosaki pick up the cat, walk into his apartment in his white-suit disguise and trip. Very Akira...but probably just very Pi.

He looks very intense. Thank you for the pictures - I will definitely watch this eventually!

He is very intense. His gaze is one of the most powerful things in the dorama, and I dare anyone to be unaffected by it! :) I hope you like when you get a chance to see...

I remember first seeing a screencap of Kurosaki in those red suspenders, and pretty much stayed away from Pi and Kurosagi for a while ;)

But I did watch it eventually and loved it too :) At first I thought it would become really repetitive as each new case came up, but surprisingly it was alright. Pi is so gorgeous *cries* His eyes are just brilliant, and like you said, the little gestures really made a difference. I also liked Tsurara :) Didn't really like Horikita Maki in Nobuta but found her good in this~ Anata wa hitori janai! was stuck in my head for a while after finishing the drama XDD

I feel like they could easily have a sequel, but I don't know about the chances of that happening ><
