The good: Whee! I bought the new Lacuna Coil (Karmacode) and Queensryche (Operation Mindcrime II) albums! *dancing gaily* I am so excited to listen to the Lacuna Coil, I'm ripping the CD right now! It sounds so OMFG good! *headbangs* :D

I think this clip (if I remembered correctly) was Tsuyoshi asking the rest of SMAP if they remembered what day it was that day and NONE of them could tell Tsuyoshi what day it was.
That was why Tsuyoshi whacked Kimura on the head.. Heh... ^___^

That day was actually the day that SMAP debuted a long time ago in 1993. It was such a memorable day and everyone was shocked that they didn't remember it.. ;p

Thank you so much for letting me know - it makes so much more sense now (of course) - I had no idea what Tsuyoshi was going on about, or why he was whacking everyone with the gold fan.

It is rather shocking that they forgot their debut date. Just like a bunch of guys, though, to forget such things. ;)

LOL, I don't know about the genre...;) I got into this because of Takuya Kimura, entertainer extraordinaire, so it's really mostly All About Him - I just want to watch him in whatever he does, however sad that sounds. That being said, I am listening to fluffy Japanese pop boy bands a wee bit now. I look at it as a way to help me out of this "dark phase" I'm going through - anything cheery is quite welcome right now! :D

Cristina's voice is amazing, isn't it? And while LC is heavy, their music is still really melodic and beautiful, which is why I love it

Hee! I'm so glad you like the post - I was definitely in a mood last night!

Seriously, the Lacuna Coil is amazing - they are an Italian metal band with a female singer. It's not thrash at all - it is heavy but really really beautiful and melodic. And they do sing 99.9% in English.

Queensryche is a Seattle hard rock/metal band that I followed for years. I stopped liking some of their more recent stuff but this new one is a sequel to my favorite album of theirs, which is also on my top ten all time favorite album list, so I had to get it to see if it has any of the quality of their earlier material.

I agree - I wish there were fansubbed versions of these SxS episodes. If they exist, I haven't seen them anywhere.

Yes, it seems to me that SMAP was watching themselves on a recording, which is why there were reaction shots to them laughing (which are really cute, aren't they?).
