So me and ilanabean42 were spamming the crap out of each other as per usual, right? We were discussing about writing styles and how recognizable writing styles are (and the way I’m totally psychic and realized what fic was hers in a heartbeat) and then she had this Idea.

oh yes. I'll make a post that's screened asking for people to own up then, and then everyone can match up the author to the writing? (wow. this is way more complicated than i thought it would be)

When Yasuda first met Subaru, he was in awe. Something about Subaru's bright eyes and lopsided grin drew him into wanting to get know the older boy better. But something held him back. Yasuda wasn't sure if it was because Subaru was constantly working, having to travel to Tokyo all the time, or because Yasuda was a bit more shy in his desire to get closer to him ( ... )

The first thing Jin did when he and T-TUN got out of prison was head for his favorite udon restaurant. Ueda was looking at him funny, wondering where Jin was going. No matter how many times Ueda or Koki or Junno or Nakamaru asked, Jin just shook his head. "You'll see," he said, with a small smile on his face. “We’ve known each other nine years-” Subaru starts.

“Ten years,” Yoko amends.

“Eleven years,” Hina corrects them both, rolling his eyes.

“Eleven years,” Subaru repeats. “That’s a long time.” He’s lying on his back with his head in Hina’s lap, waving his arms around as he talks. (He’s really drunk.)

“Sometimes I think it’s too long,” Hina puts in, but he’s petting Subaru’s hair and smiling, so it’s not very convincing. (He’s drunk too. He’s nicer when he’s drunk, usually.)

“Be nice, Hina-chan,” Yoko chides. “You know your life wouldn’t be nearly as fun without us.”

“Yeah, Hina-chan!” Subaru agrees. “You know...” he starts, but then forgets what he wants to say. “Yeah.” Hina stops petting and hits him, laughing, so he yells, “Hey!” and puts his hands up in a belated attempt to defend himself. Hina ignores him and hits Yoko too for good measure.

He smiles then, while both his friends pout, and says, “Yeah. You’re right.”
