So me and ilanabean42 were spamming the crap out of each other as per usual, right? We were discussing about writing styles and how recognizable writing styles are (and the way I’m totally psychic and realized what fic was hers in a heartbeat) and then she had this Idea.

When Yasuda first met Subaru, he was in awe. Something about Subaru's bright eyes and lopsided grin drew him into wanting to get know the older boy better. But something held him back. Yasuda wasn't sure if it was because Subaru was constantly working, having to travel to Tokyo all the time, or because Yasuda was a bit more shy in his desire to get closer to him

I know! It only took me a zillion hints from Gen. But since I got the answer, I'll let other people guess and just take a moment to flail over you writing K8, and Subaru/Yasu at that.
