Hey Stalker,

I got a question.... I am confused by what you said... no not trying to start any arguments... isn't "thy" here mean "called you by your name?" Meaning God knows your name because you are His? Not that He was calling us by His name? New King James Version puts it as, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine." Anyhow, its still a great verse thanks for sharing it.

You're right. My bad. :P That's what happens when I listen to Jeff read out of his Bible and then don't check my translation to make sure I heard correctly. hehe

Tis okay! My first thought upon reading your post was, "She's just checking to see if I'm listening." I know that is your secret reason.

Good passage, but I'm not sure where you're getting that from. Every version I read says "I have called you by your name." (Some don't include the 'your' at all).

The emphasis on being called by name, specifically YOU and not just anyone. It's about being personally singled out.

Yeah, Sally corrected me... we were reading from Jeff's Bible, which was a different version then I'm used to. I messed up the pronouns...
