That was definitely lacking, yeah. It may not be stated in canon, but I think that's one of Cho's main motivations for coming back and fight. I hated how he was maybe mentioned for one fleeting second by Harry and forgotten by everyone else.

i personally think it was for continuity reasons that cedric didn't get much of a mention. the story was heading into it's final stretch and slowing down for a memorial, however brief, would have interrupted the flow.

not to mention, of course, we only see the world through harry's eyes and interpretations, and who is he to say definitively what cho's motivation for being there is? maybe she just didn't want to talk about it because being emotional distracts you and she wanted to be sharp for what was coming. or maybe she did say something, just not to harry.

either way, you know that cedric is a big motivation for her wanting to fight back against voldie & co.

This was beautifully written! I've never much been a fan of Cho's character so I did go out on a limb with this but I'm so happy that I did! She still seems like the Cho from the books but now, on a seemingly more personal level, I like her more. You did an amazing job and I'm defiantly mem-ing this to read again in the future. (:

Thank you so much! Fandom is rarely nice to Cho, it seems, which is sad because I think she can have so much potential as a character even though it looks as if all she can do in canon is cry. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

ceddy/cho has been the only canon most down played by JK. *takes out blunt pencil*

i shall start writing ceddy/cho again. but my mind has no storylines! :(

That's true. I hate how JKR didn't wrap anything up other than OBHWF. Some of us don't care about it and wants to know what happened to everyone else! Ugh.

Cedric/Cho is the only canon couple I even remotely like when it comes to Harry Potter. Unless Snape/Lily is now somehow canon, hee.

I was playing with the idea that Cho found the Resurrection Stone one day after the battle, but realize that that can only end badly, haha. Someone posted this prompt over at quiet_charm a few weeks ago and I actually like that idea, but haven't had time to try it out yet. Maybe that will jumpstart some C/C plot bunnies? The world needs more Cedric/Cho fics!
