The best books to use in these situations are the books that claim to give you the "secrets" of the ACT. I had the one for the SATs. It was a green and black book, I think, by Kapplan?

Now if you have it or can't get another book, there's no reason to worry too much. I had the same problem when I was taking my SATs. I had a little more time, but not much. I'm guessing the book has chapters on each section, or topic involved? Don't read it chapter for chapter. If you only have a few days, you won't remember anything in those books that way. Basically what I did was flip through the chapters and find things I knew I had trouble with, i.e. math and whatnot. Just dedicate yourself for the next few days, and I know you'll do wicked good.

Standardized things suck ass. I'm sorry that you have to deal with it already, especially while Darien's there. I couldn't even handle it while I was down Cape Cod 2 years ago ALONE. Rotf. Just keep a cool head and take it one question at a time. Best of luck!

The ACT and SATs really aren't that bad. The science was kind of challenging for me, but, I'm not a science person. Get on thecollageboard.com and act.org, they have study guides you can use that are really helpful. Good luck, and trust me, they're really not bad at all.

Don't stress out hun! The ACT is much easier than the SAT and its more or less common sense. You'll do fine, you're smart. Even if you don't get a score you like you get more than one chance to make a good score. :)

I didn't use any of those books or even study at all. o_o; I didn't even goto sleep until four the morning of the exam, and I still managed to get a 27. o_o;;;

I'm sure you'll do great!

The ACT is way easier than the SAT. The math section is easier, the reading comprehension section is tedious but simple, and the science questions aren't really science-related at all. All you do is read about the experiment and answer some questions about the data. (Mostly you just need logic, not any science expertise.) I mean, hell, I fell asleep during half the science section time and still managed to make a 33..anyway, I think the main problem that could happen is if you're a slow reader it might take you awhile to finish.
