My employee appreciation extra discounts started this Friday, so I ordered Absolute Sandman volumes 1 to 4. I am so flipping excited to get these and finally complete my Sandman collection. My graphic novels section on my bookshelf is pretty slim. I have my tattered copy of The Crow, that I got when I was 12 or 13, then the first three books of ( Read more... )

Yeah, I'll have to check that out eventually as well, though I've heard mixed reviews as to whether it was as good or not. And yeah, a lot of folks are into the Sims 3, it's really taken off.

Maaaan(i just popped over here from your comment) and these guys look amazing! I have so much more fun in CAS now then I did with Sims 2(although I loved bodyshop but you know what I mean!). I can really see the different facial structures and what not. They're not all the same.

And your husband did a wicked job on the house! Awesome!

28 Days Later was a great movie.

Thank you! And I'll tell my husband you think so. The faces are really starting to grow on me. At first I thought they all looked too chubby but now that I've gotten the hang of the sliders I like the way they turn out.

Incidentally, are you uploading any of you creations? Your sims look pretty wicked.

Oh...haha! I hadn't even thought of that! Ummm...how would I go about uploading them?

And thanks so much for like them! I'm the same way! I was like huh! They're alright looking but now being in game...it's different! Don't get me wrong! Some of them are STILL butt ugly!! Hahaha!

ETA: Nevermind! I looked it up! Next time I go in game(later tonight) I'll put them up for upload if you want!:)

Im still bummed that Sims 3 doesnt let my gay sims get pregnant.

How would that work, exactly?

Well there's adoption and then there's the alien babies in the Sims 2 where males would get pregnant if they'd been abducted, but they took that out of the Sims 3, aliens and all. One of the producers of the game said he wants to get away from the supernatural stuff in the game. (The vampires, werewolves, aliens, and witches.) Basically the stuff a lot of the fans loved from the expansions. I still expect to see some of it, I mean in this one you can go to the graveyard and hang out with ghosts and even have a little ghost baby with one.

That's as terrible as the Arnold Schwarzenegger/Danny Devito movie "Junior".

For a small graphic novel collection it sounds like you at least have a good one. If you're looking to expand it I would recommend Preacher and Lucifer.

Also don't bother with 28 Weeks Later. I loved 28 days later and weeks just tainted the whole experience.

Yeah, I was looking at both of those, they look pretty interesting. I'm also wanting to get The Killing Joke and the Frank Miller Batman work, and maybe a few of the other higher end Batman books. I'm pretty picky about what I buy, but I'm kind of envious of people who have like massive comic collections. Nerd envy.
