Christmas is a busy time for me, if not at home but at work. Retail and all...I'm working on my list of things to read for next year, instead of the traditional New Years Eve resolutions. I want this up coming year to be a year of learning, and reading more important things. I wanted that Before I had a spat with Kade about his blogging project

It's here, it just got started so I suppose they don't know exactly what kind of direction of blogging style they're going to pull into.

On books, I think a lot of fiction can be practical, at least for me. It helps me get into the head of what people are feeling, so if I read Anna Karenina, for instance, I'll know a bit about what it was like to live in Russia then, or if I read Ayn Rand, I'll know the more emotional reasons behind her beliefs. I learn more from personal accounts and thoughts than facts, facts seem to run out of my head a lot of the time.

If I believed in making resolutions I'd probably be doing something similar. As it is I don't really take the time to read much these days outside of manga, lovecraft, or gaming supplements.

Reading some of your past post and you seem to be quite the intellectual/philosopher, Kade should definitely include you in this blogging project.

I read throughout the day, but only like 5-10 pages at a time sometimes, so getting through books can be very slow for me. I really need to spend some more dedicated time just reading if I'm gonna do this. Anyhow...I might help him out with it at some point, maybe or just ask him to post of mine whatever he thinks relevant. I Do want to get back into posting more intellectual posts, there's been a lacking of those lately.

Ah, cool plan for a New Year's List
I guess i should try to make a list too of what systems i'm planning to buy this year. Gah, too much though, oh well

Sorry about the blogging thing though, on your posts it seems you always have something to offer in the table so if worse comes to worse, you can try making your own? Might be too much work though.

I did make a blog awhile ago, but it's so hard to get readers for that sort of thing. LJ has always been a more forgiving venue. This'll be my first time making a new years list, but it sounds much more fun than half hearted resolutions.
