First of all, love what you did with the idea. It's very unique and hasn't really been done in the DW fandom before, so well done on originality! The writing style's great, and Jack as an empty soldier reaching for the Doctor? Awesome.

Aw, thank you! I'm surprised it hasn't been done, actually, as I think the gas mask zombies are the creepiest New Who monsters to date. (Well, maybe second to the weeping angels...) Glad you liked it!

I liked this surprisingly much. This was an idea I wouldn't have been able to think of, and I can imagine how horrifying it would be to be turned into a gas-mask zombie. Poor Jack. But the Doctor was right to do this, if it was the only way.

Oh wow. I loved the twist- first that they needed to use the nanogenes to cute Jack, then that Jack had to become an empty soldier. Poor Doctor and poor Jack! But yay for ahappy ending and for them going out for ice cream!

Now I'm wondering how Ianto got in touch with the Doctor...

Oh geeze, I knew I forgot something. Short explanation: once Jack returned, the team found footage of him with Martha and the Doctor, and tracked down Martha. They were sitting on the fact that they knew who she was. And of course, she's got the Doc's number ;-) I guess I should slip that somewhere into the story, huh?

But yeah, yay for ice cream. Thanks for reviewing!
