I really love the way you write Eleven's grief and avoidance, and Jack's age and wisdom. No matter what stage or phase they're in, in sequence or out, they always fit together so well. And your description of the planet is really vivid - I feel chilly and clammy just reading it. *g*

This is so sad, yet it offers hope for the Doctor if he can manage to open the door and let in the light of others that care for him. I really like Jack here his wisdom and acceptance of who and how the Timelord feels. Best he offered the alien kindness and departed afterwards. Now its up to the doctor to decide what he needs and if he has the courage to reach for it. Well done!
