I loved this. I loved the hive, I loved the vulnerability, I loved the hive-mind and the two week despot. I loved the Doctor, I really loved the sex, and from start to finish this was an awesome piece. It rocked.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I'm so glad you enjoyed the different aspects of the story that I was trying to balance. Especially the vulnerability.... that is the aspect between them that I love to explore the most, so very complicated and filled with both pain and potential. :D

This was so intimate the sex didn't matter. loved the world you built its rules and Jacks place in it. Well done!

Thanks so much for your sweet comment. The prompt really challenged me to build a world, so I enjoyed that and I'm really glad it worked for you. The intimacy between Jack and the Doctor feels like it is always there, even when the Doctor is in denial... so I'm really glad you felt it too. Cheers!

That was some very interesting worldbuilding you did with the prompt. I liked the idea of Jack finding a place where he's so at home that he can turn the Doctor's offer down, while still loving him with all his heart.

The prompt really demanded worldbuilding, so I had a lot of fun with it. With Jack being immortal, it's interesting to contemplate a situation that could accept him for all the amazing things he is, without asking him to be more than is possible. As I wrote the story I kept thinking about why the Doctor would go looking for Jack and how he would try to tempt or even coerce him into traveling again. Then I realized how much Jack has to offer at this time. The Doctor has nothing to lose.

I love the theme of "home" for this month. I'll try to grapple with it!

I loved the world building in this. The Hive is a beautiful idea, and it is just what Jack needs!

So glad you enjoyed. I love utopian communities and couldn't resist setting Jack up in the heart of this one. Glad it worked for you! :)

thanks so much for your comment! I'm glad Eleven rang true.... I wanted to keep him in character and since we've never seen him with Jack, it was especially fun to imagine how dealing with Jack and the Hive would make him react. :D
