This was very sweet! I liked it a lot.

I could really hear and envision Five here.... he had that worried look about him a lot, like he was wondering how much he would mess up ... that you captured here very well.

And I love that Jack was happier in this story than he usually is with his peculiar fate. It's nice to see Jack in a happy place every so often.

I'm really glad you left it open in the end for Jack to go and find the Doctor, for them to finally have a happier reunion. :)

I like the way you played them off each other, with Jack slowly confirming his suspicions and the Doctor having (misplaced) suspicions of his own. I clearly need to watch me some Five, one of these days.

Your Five is spot-on, too - I loved so much of it, but especially his disappointment about the tachyon pulse and this line: "“In the bigger state of things? Probably not. It's just a name.” The Doctor went quite. “You’re refreshingly different. And I suppose you must have a name, too. Although you’ve been doing your level best not to say it out loud.”"
