Oh, this was lovely, so sad but lyrical. I love that you didn't explain everything and left us with the gift of hope.

Thank you, it didn't seem to be one of those prompts where everything could be tied up neatly at the end, and it was kind of the point, I think -- this was a mess on a massive scale even though it was only still affecting a single person. Jack's just special that way *g*

Mystery Author, this is one of the best fic gifts I've ever been given! It is honestly exactly what I was hoping for when I wrote that prompt! I really liked the tone of Eleven, you caught him awesomely, and Jack was exactly the wild broken thing I was dreamin of. He broke my heart a dozen times without saying anything. I loved it. Thank you so much for this.

Thank you for the prompt! I would normally have tried for the fun romp one, but this one suited my god-why-is-it-still-like-winter-out-there mood much better *g* I'm glad it was what you wanted!

I'm not much of a sequel writer, I'm afraid, but if inspiration does strike I'll be sure to let you know :) Thanks for reading!

This was all heart-breaking and interesting! I loved the exploration of what Jack's factness would mean in an apocalyptic setting like this.

Thank you! I don't think I've ever written anything apocalyptic before, so it made an interesting change :)

This is brutal, and I mean that as a high compliment. It doesn't flinch, and it doesn't look away, and both Jack and the Doctor deserve that. It's hard, and it's a look at exactly what Jack is to the Doctor that he'd "abandon[] his duty to the universe" because Jack needed it more -- and hadn't gotten it in time. And there's this hope in the guise of grim determination as he sees Jack along the road to recovering, but that deadly cold anger underneath that only manifests for us in the last line. Well played. Thank you.

Thank you! They're both capable of not just enduring so much more but also being more dangerous than all the normal people that are ever around them, that I thought it needed more than just hope at the end.
