This is amazing! You have a very lyrical style, and the differences in it between the first part and the second part really resonated for me. The whole thing was gorgeous, but I especially enjoyed the intimacy at the end and the conversation that incorporated the dialogue snippet I gave you. One of my favorite ways to have Jack and the Doctor is after they've both learned a few lessons the hard way and come around to a place where they can be together (which is why I'm such a fan of him with Eleven). This was everything I wanted and more. Thank you!

I didn't so much use your prompt as a jumping off point as write the story I thought you might like, then realized I'd wandered into a place where your prompted conversation really fit. So everything fit like puzzle pieces in the end!

The icon is a fitting match! Though I think Eleven is more resigned to the fact that he'll never stop, accepting it as part of his nature. But that's just what makes him a great match for Jack.
