Wonderfully executed--and so, so bittersweet. And Thirteen sort of "creates" the Face of Boe, I love that concept!

That is one way of interpreting it, and I'm sure I read that in a really awesome, heartbreaking Face of Boe fic I read a long time ago. I think this might work out for them all right here, though; it's a bit too soon for Jack to become the Face of Boe.
