Oh, wow! This is beautiful so sad and poignant, and you really captured their inner thoughts and feelings so perfectly. Each of them has experienced so much loss and sadness in their lives, but in the end they realised that they would always have each other. You did a magnificent job with the prompt. Thanks so much for this, it was simply gorgeous.

Thank you! I love drabbles, because of the opportunity to play with language and the sound of phrases, length of paragraphs and so on, all staying within 100 words and aiming for some kind of emotional resonance. And Ten and Jack have emotional resonance in spades :)
