It hadn't been long between her own ordeal and waking up to all this strange fog for Elle, but still in that time she'd made it her business to find out where Alex was. When she'd woken up in his room and he hadn't been there, she'd been worried. She'd been horribly murdered by a pick axe, but, details.

She also largely blamed herself for the state he was in, so she stuck around. And when she heard moving coming from his room followed by puking, she was quick to come running, appearing hesitantly in the doorway and looking in.

"Alex?"

The transition was all too bizarre. Claire probably should have been used to it by now, but World's End always had a way of catching her off guard ( ... )
