This time I brought a larger sketchbook. Still drawing with a randomly chosen assortment of coloured pencils. Still taking pictures of them with my iPhone because I'm too lazy to use a scanner.

So yesterday... well, technically two days ago since it's past midnight, so let's just say the fifteenth for convenience, was my birthday.  I'd asked not to have a closing shift, and actually work was pretty pleasant: just busy enough that I wasn't bored but nothing too horrid to do.  And, of course, not closing.

Spent the weekend with stupid_drawings and kozibot at WindyCon, which was a tiny little convention that still managed to be a great deal of fun.

And oh, was it nice to go to a convention that isn't inexplicably in a ridiculously hot part of the country during a ridiculously hot time of year (I'm looking at you, DragonCon and Otakon).

Just back from an amazing weekend visiting kaitou_marron with analineblue and ghibli_chibi.  We talked fandom, and life, and cosplay, and more fandom, and fanfic, and okay some more about cosplay, and watched all of the No. 6 anime and most of the Penguin Drum (that's been released so far) and a few other things and it was lovely and wonderful and nothing hurts.

Just got back late last night from Atlanta, GA, and more importantly, from DragonCon 2011.   I had a wonderful time, met and hung out with all sorts of lovely people (many of whom are new lj friends.  Hi new LJ friends!  I'm Winter, I dressed as River Song and John Watson and was usually hanging out with stupid_drawings) saw amazing outfits, slept little, ate ( Read more... )

So....  stupid_drawings has talked me into going to DragonCon this year.  (There was only a modicum of arm-twisting involved.)  Since I wasn't able to make it to Otakon this year, I'm very exited about still getting to con, as it were, and she assures me I'll have an amazing time.
