Oh man, I used to think I was okay at writing long fics, and then I signed up for sherlockbigbang, and now I'm freaking out that I won't get the rough draft done on time. I'd say that, since you have until Nov 1st or so to sign up, you should start working on an idea now and see how far you get before sign ups close.

So I guess, I would suggest letting your ideas stew (and maybe start working), and then make your decision.
