Die hard in the White House. No kidding. And here I thought that's what Olympus Has Fallen (OHF) was! Nope. This is a direct copy - down to the being a cop, jokes, white widowmaker T-shirt, press are idiots and bumbling ( Read more... )

Which did you enjoy the best though? I suspect I would prefer WHD, so I'm curious...

Hope you had a great birthday!

I liked both actually. The difference was the tone.

OHF was very serious and intense with a hero who was special forces - and extremely competent, take no-names, get the job done sort. I liked that. I thought OHF was well written, but definitely serious - serious actions and serious consequences.

WHD had a lot more humor - especially with the hero being a bit on the bumbling side, not knowing where things were, running around and running into things, making wise cracks, basically doing the buddy cop thing with the president.

If you liked Die Hard - then you'd like WHD.

Die Hard was one of those movies I liked despite the level of violence. Of course, that was a long time ago, and movies have gotten more violent while my tolerance for that has grown too. Still, I'm torn. I saw trailers for both and then couldn't tell them apart so I no longer remember which one I wanted to see more! ;-)

Your icon is *brilliant* here. :-)

well, yes, they are very similar. you can still play the trailers for both I believe online.

If you thought Die Hard was a little violent... then you'd be pretty put off by OHF. It's more violent (got that R rating after all), than WHD.
