You know that commercial for Citibank? The one with the woman going on vacation with her boyfriend? "I got a new belt, some new nylons, and what girl wouldn't need new shoes?"

I hate that commercial.

But, aside from that, there is no amount of money that could make me stand on that rock she ends up on.

I don't hate it, but I think it's kind of dumb. Plus, I've seen it often enough that I'm now thoroughly sick of it.

Hal says he doesn't understand how they got up there, and he's convinced she's going to fall. I tell him they had to have a woman be the subject of the commercial because if they'd used a guy, the first thing he'd do when he got to the top of the rock would be to pee off it.

Yeah, I'm sick enough of that commercial to start mocking it. Didn't take long.

Well, a guy wouldn't talk about needing new nylons, that's for sure.

And what is the purpose of that trek? "Okay - we spent a few hours climbing to get to the top so that I could stand unsteadily on the rock. Looked around for a minute. Then I had to get down so the dude had his turn. Fortunately, it didn't crumble beneath either of us. After that, we spent a couple more hours climbing down and went home. Money well spent."

That commercial is flippin' stupid. It's one of the commercials that play frequently on Hulu, along with all of the Capital One commercials. I'm sick to death of it.

I have a fear of heights, and the commercial is enough to give me a nosebleed.

I, too, am afraid of heights. Like I said, there is no amount of money in the world that would make me stand on that rock.
