It was nice knowing all of you...

But, apparently, I'm going to the re-education camps as soon as they catch me.

From the White House website:
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. ( Read more... )

Actually, not to argue politics with you, but to offer historical perspective, there were a lot of "informers" and people looking for informers, and persecution of anyone suspected of being "Red" during the McCarthyism years.

A solid point (and one which I don't tend to think of, for reasons that will become clear), though I think less of that happened than some would like us to believe. However, I think this is distinctly different - this is going after people who disagree (if rather vociferously) with a single policy issue with the administration. That was going after people, many of whom were solidly proven to have committed actual treason, as proven when the Venona documents were released.

If we're both pregnant, maybe they'll grant us clemency?

Nah. The science czar doesn't like babies.

Who are you and how did you get on my friends list?

I don't know you, I never knew you, and when you come up before the Committee, you'd better not mention my name at all because I'm a genuine American and I love my country and anything Obama does is right and good and I have no desire to do anything counter to his will.

There, I think that covers my ass, just in case.

Oh, fine. Just throw me under the bus.

Hmph.

Hey, throwing people under the bus should put me in solid with the Administration. We'd share a similar MO.
