I'm a little weirded out at the idea that I could, potentially, be pregant after this weekend. Probably, we'll go in to do the insemination tomorrow and Saturday, or Saturday and Sunday, depending on what the ovulation test kit tells me. Which is good - Joe will actually be able to be in the room when his child is conceived, which is always ( Read more... )

Joe will actually be able to be in the room when his child is conceived, which is always preferable.

Okay, that gave me a great giggle. :D

Thanks!

Would you believe that, when I told Joe what the plan was, he said, "I'll go with you, but I don't really think I want to watch THAT." When I pointed out that he didn't actually have to watch, just be there, he admitted that, "It can't possibly be as bad as the birth, and I was there for that..."

Right!

That's an unusual icon choice for you...

Heh. I love Ursula LeGuin's Left Hand of Darkness, and since the icon mentioned pregnancy.....

Actually, he's not Irish at all. He's Italian. His grandfather wanted to be a cop in New York, and, at the time, that was an avenue open only to the Irish, so he changed his name from Dalio to Dailey.

It's amusing because I AM Irish, but my maiden name was German. So I married an Italian guy to get my Irish surname.

Good luck!!!!

I liked the second transformers, but I'm one of those ultra rare transformers fans that *loves* the francise, but isn't super picky annoying nerd about it being perfect.

It's a movie for 7 year olds to sell said 7 year olds toys. I want it to be for my 26-35 year old ass that grew up with transformers but has since matured and become a supposedly sophisticated adult. I'm okay with the fact that it's not for me ;-)

I liked the first movie (and my husband was stunned that I knew all the Transformers' names - my brother collected them as a kid. But I'm not a purist, either.) But I've heard from people who also liked it that this one...not so good - no discernable plot, for one thing.
