My state government strikes again!

They've enacted yet another stupid law. This one is about, of all things, license plate frames. As of January 1, we are no longer permitted to have them if they obscure the word "Arizona" at the top of the plate (fortunately, mine does not - but the one the dealer put on Joe's car does). However, in violation of the 14th Amendment, it is not

I obviously don't live in Arizona but I do live next to Kentucky and I know they have the same law.

I have to wonder if there aren't more important criminals the police should be after than license plate frame outlaws. How about arresting illegal immigrants or drug dealers?

Well, they will if the illegal immigrants and drug dealers have license plate frames that obscure the name of the state on the plate.

Sounds like a win-win to me.
