Okay, how big a language geek am I?

This big: I just added this book to my personal library.

What's more, I've wanted it for MONTHS. A book about diagramming sentences. Yep. THAT'S how big a language geek I am.

grammar, books

I used to *love* diagramming sentences. I'm one of the few people who did!

I figured that, if there was anyone who'd sympathize with this geekery, it would be you!

OMG, I want that book! I've wanted to learn how to diagram sentences ever since I read about Laura Ingalls Wilder having to diagram sentences when she became a teacher at 15 years of age. I think that was in 'On The Shores of Silver Lake'.
This is definitely going on my wanted list!

Don't bother with this - there's no instruction in it. I found it distinctly disappointing in many ways.

Although she does use that same Ingalls sentence as an illustrative one at one point (I recognized it, too!)

Thanks for the warning or I would probably have ordered it with Christmas money which I invariably get from one or the other parent. I'm disappointed that it was disappointing, though - I was hoping to learn the lost art!
