I put the breakable ornaments where he can't reach them, but that won't help if he figures out how to knock the thing over.

One year my kitties were convinced that the tree looked better laying on it's side, as opposed to hanging up. I suppose it was easier to get to all of the ornaments that way.

We also learned that icicles were not kitty-friendly items, but that they could be "passed" with the same stuff you give them for hairballs. *sigh*

My icicles are glass. :-o There is no tinsel on my tree at all.

Fortunately, the base of the tree is not of the kind that lends itself to tipping easily.
