I've listened to My Shit's Fucked Up and Dirty Little Religion and I'm not sure how I feel about him yet. The lyrics are awesome, but it feels kind of jarring with the country/blues kind of music to me. Maybe it's because I knew the NIN song and expected it to be the same kind of thing, and maybe it's because normally I don't listen to lyrics as much, but I'm finding it hard to get into. D: I'm trying though, I just haven't emotionally connected to it yet.

That album name is kind of awesome though. >.> Sad, but awesome.

I've been in a teacher's car once, and it was weird and awkward, and I'm super jealous for not having an awesome teacher like Will who plays music that says 'I want to fuck you like an animal' when you get in the car. SUPER JEALOUS.

If you want to try out some of his more rock and roll sounding songs, Poor, Poor Pitiful Me, Lawyers, Guns, and Money, or I'll Sleep When I'm Dead are pretty cool.

I don't know, maybe it's the place in my life I was at when I first heard him and the fact that I've always been a sucker for really quirky lyrics that I respond so strongly to his stuff.

Yeah, I've had the awkward ride home in the teacher's car once. He looked nothing like Mr. Schuester and if his radio had started playing Closer, I probably would have jumped out of the moving vehicle.

I don't know a whole lot of Warren Zevon, but I listened to some of the songs you linked. I've been having a couple of horrible weeks and I played "My Shit's Fucked Up" three times, holding the earbuds in, so the music reverberated in my skull, let tears well up and fall, while cackling to myself silently like a madwoman. So, for that moment, I most sincerely thank you.

Also, I love this fic. Even, the ending. It's perfect for the tone.

Mr. Schue listening to Nine Inch Nails. It does not compute. It’s like finding out that chick from The Sound of Music listens to thrasher music. OMG. This, this so hard. This is like me telling my dad that I was gonna grow a ponytail and I didn't give a shit what he thought and him calmly telling me that at my age he had hair down to his butt and I was like "No, you had a perm when you married Mum, you've always been a dork! Does not compute!"

Rachel is watching him with pretty tears welling up in her eyes and a look that says ‘Oh, Finn. We can never be. Why do you insist on doing this? But please, keep it up because I love the drama.’ *mad cackling* Oh, that is some of the best Rachel characterisation I've ever seen in a fic.

I totally <3 the fic. It's a little darker, a little edgier than most Winn fic; but it touches on a point I hadn't really considered before. I always figure Will would be happier once he and Finn are together, this is elaborating upon the why of his life sucking in the beforehand-time
