I love your original characters just as much as the glee characters, I swear. I think most people would bang Will like a gong if given a chance.
I kind of love Finn's intelligentally romantic idea of why they'll stay together.
Holy shit do I need to play kamikaze karaoke. Although knowing my friends it'd just be multiple renditions of Barbie Girl and me not finding it as funny as anyone else.
And um, yay.

Kamikaze Karaoke is pretty much the best thing ever--especially after a few drinks.
Nothing says fun times like making a 6'7'' football player sing 'Stand By Your Man.'

My boyfriend is 16 years older than me, and I always feel the need to do the "It's not creepy!" thing, haha. So that was pretty cute and accurate.

My step dad is 21 years older than my mom. It shouldn't work but it totally does and that's kind of the vibe I was going for.

And then Finn sang hot for teacher and made out with Will in front of sorority girls, which is pretty much the best way to end a fic ever.

Glad you liked Ellie and relieved that the big reveal worked. I tried to drop hints that all wasn't as it seemed and I was worried it came off as totally obvious.
I almost went crazy trrying to come up with the perfect closing scene and then it came to me like a revelation from on high. Finn+Will+Dirty Karaoke makeout session=good times.
I would kill to be drunk sorority girl witnessing that.

Btw, the whole "it's not creepy, i swear!" thing? I totally do that with my wife (we're 13 years apart) Probably half the reason I love this story so much right there, you somehow manage to make Will and Finn sound just like all of us regular married folk out there. Kudos :D

My step-dad is two decades older than my mom and I've seen how they are---it shouldn't make perfect sense but it does and I wanted to convey that.
