Now that it's 2011. And its' the new year and all the stuff that comes with it. It's time to announce what to look forward to this year on the winnners community!

One thing I think maybe we should do is get an archive of the Winn fics that aren't posted to this comm going, because there's more than a handful out there, and encourage those authors to cross post here etc. I usually throw out a "Hey, you should come hang out with us" when I see a like minded person, but I've been lazy with contacting the authors of older stories.

I like the idea of bi-monthly challenges. I'm not sure if we'll need weekly discussion posts for the challenges - I guess that's something to gauge as it happens. I'm just thinking of comms I've been on where we've all been 'Let's have weekly discussion posts!' and it ended up being a lot of crickets chirping.

I think that perhaps you should advertise a kind of reboot of this community. With all the new events and activities, I'm sure more people would be more interested if they were aware of what's happening here now. Most Winn fics (or Glee fics in general, even) get posted to gleeslash, so a lot of pairing-centric comms don't even get traffic anymore, since everything can be found there. However, those users who stopped by this comm and were bored in the past would likely pay another visit and stick around for a while if they knew about all these great activites. Maybe you could even consider a layout redesign ( ... )

I second the layout-redesign AND the zip-thing sooo much. It sounds really interesting!

I agree with your comments about gleeslash, and pairing-specific comms getting low traffic. I'm amazed that we have the numbers and volume of content that we do compared to some other fringe pairings.

Hope, maybe we could do a pimp post over at gleeslash at the end of each bi-monthly challenge, with a submission round up? Make it nice and easy for people.

I really like the zip idea too. And the tv show/movie/book rewrite is a great idea. Any good fandom should have strong enough characters to be able to be put in whole new situations while still being the characters. In fact I've had an idea to do a Winn version of the Stardust movie for a while now. This would be perfect to get that off the ground.
