oh yeah. being a senior in college is soooo much fun. the best part, though, is when every single adult in your life, regardless of how well they know you, asks you what you're gonna do when you graduate. and they start asking you that when you're still only a sophomore. -_-;;

and yes, "Re-sublimity" is ratings! ^__^

i <3 my thesis topic, too. if i'm on top of things, i shouldn't have to disappear at all. hopefully.

actually the Isabel Allende books are giving me a bit of a headache. they're so new and they're for young adults, so there's NO criticism on them. but i'm still allowed to do my thesis on them, it just means more work for me. and i have to come up with my own insightful/intelligent things to say about them.

and for the Texans, they're cool. the one in Allende is a bad guy named Tex Armadillo. he wears boots with heels and "vaqueros". (when i first read that i was like "O.o he's wearing cowboys???" actually they're jeans, of course, but literal translations are more fun. ^__~) and the Texan in Pullman is this really cool kick-ass guy who travels around in a hot-air balloon! and his daemon (basically a person's soul in animal form) is a hare named Hester. i was so amused when it turned out both the trilogies featured Texans.

Have you read "Bless Me, Ultima"? Her alma takes the form of the owl, and protects the home; VERY VERY awesome story!

I love Isabel Allende, but I haven't read those novels yet. I think that the next Isabel Allende book on my list is Eva Luna. Anyway, the topic of your thesis sounds so interesting! I'm already hooked, I want to read it. I know you'll do awesome, because you're very smart and you love what you do.
In what language are you going to write? Both English and Spanish?
