Right, so last Wednesday I got to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and there was much *squee!ing* and *squeal!ing* on my part (not out loud, though...). ( Potterish ramblings )
The ending was quite a shock to those of us who do not read the books and were not warned about it >_< I sat there for a moment like . . . whoa. Then my friend Chelsea, who has read all of the books, laughed at me (but she was crying too, so it was okay *lol*). She didn't fill me in on any missing scenes about the twins and money, though. Hmmm. I should harass her.
You must read the books!!! There's so much stuff they leave out. Most of it isn't too crucial, but it's all interesting bits of the story. Such as the twins and the money.
Harry gets a huge amount of prize money for winning the TriWizard Tournament, and then he gives it all to the twins 'cause he already has a bunch of money and the Weasleys don't. The twins in the books (which they haven't shown in the movies) are always inventing joke/prank toys and spells and stuff, so they want to open a joke shop. Harry gives them his prize money to do that, and also gives them one condition: that they have to buy Ron a new set of dress robes. :P Anyway, it's not crucial to the plot of GoF, but it does come up in a bigger way in the next book.
