Oh, thunderstorms. Few years ago, one mobile operator built an antenna tower on the hill behind our house. That thing is the best lightning conductor ever. Every storm that´s nearby ends up above our heads and the bangs are spectacular.

Yeah, there is a valley my windows look out on that attracts a lot of thunderstorms. It's a nice view when they're far enough away, but those LOUD ones right overhead make me want to hide under the bed.

Wait, you don't like our humidity that's so thick it's like putting on a wet sweater? Or the aggressive pollen that doesn't just make your eyes itch via the magic of histamine, but actually gets all up in there as particulate matter? Or the metro running late because heat makes electricity struggle, somehow? Sheesh, Californians!

But seriously, I'm sorry about the migraines! Mine aren't cycle-related, but when they hit, they're monstrous -- all my sympathies on that front. Possibly too-nosy question/suggestion, but might taking some kind of hormonal birth control help regiment things and decrease the migraine severity? I've been prescribed the pill for side-effects purposes, and it's worked wonders, but clearly I am not a doctor, so!

OMG, it is EXACTLY like a wet sweater. EW. And last night, it was so humid that the windows were fogging up on the OUTSIDE. That goes against all of my California laws of physics.

I know, I am such a high-maintenance California girl. *smiles winsomely*

Also, hee, you said particulate! Do you watch Bones?

I have never been offered The Pill, but honestly my migraines/cramps aren't that bad as compared to others. Well, the migraines depend on catching them at the beginning with the right medication, but other than that it's usually just one day where I feel particularly hellish.

Oooh, no, I don't watch Bones -- did I inadvertently make a reference? I love doing that!

They discuss particulates in every single episode ever! (Um, at least in season 1, which is as far as I've got, but it seems an integral part of the show, so I imagine it would continue to be in every episode ever.) There is one guy on the team who specializes in particulates.

Bones is awesome! I am rather squeamish about mangled bodies and the horrific things people do to each other, but I don't even mind because the characters rock so much. Plus, it is set in D.C. at the "Jeffersonian" Institute. *g* I can force it upon you this fall, if you wish. :D
