Archival injuries and political cowardice

Dude, I got so many little cuts and scratches at work today! The unexpected perils of being an archivist! (Or, more precisely, an archivist's minion.) Mostly a bunch of small papercuts and boxcuts. Depressing maths indeed!

I fully support your decision to flee the massive massive massive crowds! Because it sounds like it will be complete chaos. And also because you are going to be off doing fun things, which is always good!

I was more worried over the sheer numbers of people descending on Washington than I was over the turning on of the Large Hadron Collider. I guess I trust scientists more than massive crowds of random people. *g*

Gah! If only I could *be* in that beautiful chaos, to be part of that moment in history! I could hold it ... :)

Instead I have taken time off work to watch the damn thing live. Which is a good choice. Talk about golf, watch history made ... tricky, tricky ...

When I informed my boss that I would be needing 335 more 15-packs of these folders, her first response was, "oh, honey, I'm sorry."

Perhaps she will take pity on you and switch you to another project for a little while?

Oh, I have other smaller projects I work on as well. She totally understands that I'd go insane if I was just labeling all day every day. And, of course, there is my iPod. :)
