I didn't know this - how fascinating!! (Isn't research a marvelous thing?)

I didn't know either, but there was a weekly email for NASM employees with links to NASM/space-related articles, and the Tribune article I linked to was one of them. I am completely fascinated by the fact that Smithson had never even been to the U.S.!

And, yes, I adore researching things. :)
