Yeesh, buying kitchen staples is expensive. I bought a bunch of spices and my bill ran to $50 (there were a few other things besides spices, but most of that cost was the spices themselves, even with me picking the cheapest brands and such). I really like buying spices in bulk (I go to Whole Foods for them) -- it's much cheaper, and I like the quality better than the ones I'd buy at the regular grocery. I was pretty excited when I figured out I could do that. :)

Spices are crazy expensive. I bought the ones I use the most in bulk at Sam's Club, but the others . . . sheesh.

I noticed today when I was looking for jobs for myself that there are TONS of librarian and library director jobs available in New Jersey (they hire through the central state hiring system). I doubt you want to live or work there, but I thought I'd let you know :)

Haha, thanks for letting me know! It's good to know that there are plenty of jobs somewhere. Who knows where I'll be forced to go after graduating? And if it was Northern Jersey, I could at least pop over to New York a lot (which would make my best friend who lives in Brooklyn happy).

Spices are so expensive, yet so worth it.

Yes, that's what I told myself at the checkout line. I kept thinking of all the tasty cookies and scones I can make now. (Well, once I get around to buying the flour, sugar, etc.) And, you know, some non-baked good things too, I suppose. :P
