Today was back to classes which was less than thrilling. Why can't they ease us back into classes after break rather than, say, expecting us to give updates on our term projects (as if we worked on them over break) and giving midterms (which is just the height of cruelty)? Why?

The day was marginally improved, however, by SGA, which turns up ( Read more... )

Okay, the idea of John and Rodney sharing a library carrel is quite possibly ficcish gold and needs to be written about all the time.

Hee, isn't it? As I said, it was not particularly helpful for my midterm concentration, but it's totally amusing! :D Also included in my carrel assignments table: Ronon and Teyla who have neighbouring carrels during the day (Teyla sighs a lot because Ronon keeps trying to distract her), and Kavanagh who has the carrel next to Rodney at night (and torments him because he's an idiot and his nose whistles or something). And, really, when asked to populate a table with names, what other names am I going to come up with?

I really think I may have to write this at some point. But I have, like, three other fics I'm working on right now. And, you know, those term projects for school. But someday, there will be carrel!fic. *giggles madly*

I got the postcard today ^_^ Thanks, it made me smile. I miss snowstorms (although I really only need one big one a year . . . any more makes life difficult).

Today? Interesting. Mail systems are weird. My parents (in Cali) got theirs two days after I mailed it; a friend (also in Cali) got hers two or three days after, I can't remember which day I sent that one. And then there was the time a few years back when my parents sent a postcard from Valley Forge to me at Bryn Mawr and it took two weeks. Weird.

Still, I am happy it made you smile! :) I love sending (and receiving!) postcards. And, yes, they have LOTS of snow there. Sadly it didn't snow while we were there, just rained a bit on the last day. We had, what? One day of snow that actually stuck around for a significant amount of time here? That is sad. Bryn Mawr did better for snow days. (Or I guess I should say snowy days, since they never actually closed and called it a "snow day". :P)
