Ugh. I had the most pointless class ever this morning. And I do mean ever. We've been working on a Wiki project in my 650 class and our contributions were due today. But there's still stuff we need to fine-tune before we can call the Wiki done. So today in class we started out discussing some of the issues we had with the project, and then ( Read more... )

1) "dull as ditchwater." Excellent phrase, that.

2) I miss Apples to Apples; haven't played it in (LITERAL) years!

3) Yay your current song! So pretty.

1) Yes. I was pleased with myself for using it. Though not, of course, pleased that the class was, in fact, dull as ditchwater.

2) Yeah, I hadn't played in about a decade either. :D

3) So very pretty. ♥ Thanks for getting me into those movies and thereby that song! :)

What age would you say Zeus On The Loose is appropriate for? It sounds fun, and I have nieces and nephews in need of Christmas gifts...

I ADORE Apples to Apples. Sometimes we play by house rules where you have to take on the characteristics you collect. It can be quite strange.

That sounds like an interesting variation of "Apples To Apples"! :)

The box for "Zeus On The Loose" says 8 & up. The main focus is addition but some of the deity cards have subtraction and rounding. It's quite fun! :) The only teeny problem might be the skanky-looking Artemis card. She's kinda dominatrix-style. Which is kind of alarming for a virgin goddess. It's not totally indecent, just kind of weird for a game aimed at youngsters. So maybe buy one set to see if you think that card would be too questionable for whoever you're giving it to.
