Well, I think the interview went pretty well. The person I met with (the curator of the image collections) was nice and friendly. She also said she called me first because I'm a current MLS student. Librarians are generally very excited to help librarians-in-training, so this seems promising. She didn't ask me any really awful questions, so I ( Read more... )

Georgetown is one of the most gorgeous places ever . . . is it back in with the townhouses? Part of my plan when I was going to stay in D.C. was to get myself a townhouse--they're so expensive, though.

Georgetown is lovely. My parents and I did a walking tour through there when I first moved in. If I had to live in the city, it'd be there. Except I'm sure everything there costs a fortune!

But yeah, Dumbarton Oaks is kind of hidden away in the quiet residential area. (Though it's only a block off Wisconsin Ave., which seems to be one of the major roads in Georgetown.) It did used to be someone's house.

I should hear back early next week.

I just crossed everything that i did when i was a kid - toes, legs, arms, fingers, eyes, tongue (yes, tongue!)! Hope that helped!
