Thanks. Hubby took the butterfly pic, he followed it around the yard until it landed. The blue jay's crack me up, and the ones around here are not to mean. The don't even tempt the cats, to busy chasing squirrels I guess. The spider was pretty wicked, and I'm wondering where she'll end up having her young'uns. Hopefully it's OUTSIDE my house and not inside of it. Yikes.
Windi, I love your backyard. That spidy is a little scary but almost harmless looking when compared to Juanita! Glad you are having a good time with your new camera. I really need to get mine out and go exploring, but obligations keep jumping up these days. Hopefully, with it getting darker later there will be more time for fun. Can't wait to see your next batch of pics.
Thanks Sue. I really miss Juanita, and wish another one like her would show up. Especially down by studio(where Juanita lived) there are tons and tons of bugs, but so far the only thing I have down there are bats. :-/
I've been doing my exploring in the mornings, I get up before the sun does. So I get to witness all the goings on in the yard. :-)
awwww!! i'm getting spoiled with all your LJ squirrel-ness!! my favorite two pics are those just before that beautifully green butterfly. just so you know, i'm totally appreciating your squirrel lovin' pics.
maybe that's my place in the universe... to help others discover the wonderful fuzzy benefits of squirrel lovin... ha ha ha
i'd love to sit in your backyard and watch the blue feathers and the fur fly!!
I could seriously take millions of squirrel pics, because I think that's how many we have hanging around here. Haha.
They are getting use to me being out there now, and are not minding it so much. The blue jay's gang up on the squirrels and chase them around the trees. I thought one little squirrel was going to splat the other morning because it almost didn't make a jump from one branch to another, while being chased down by 2-3 blue jay's.
She's small compared to Juanita, now that was a scary ass spider. I'll have to find a pic of her to show you.
Hub took the butterfly pic, I guess after watching me run around the yard chasing after them for the past month...he had to try it out, and of course his first attempt is a success! lol!
